Built to Last

Built to Last

“Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock.”

— Matthew 7:25 (NLT)

Life doesn’t give us the option to skip storms. Jesus said storms will come—and they don’t send invitations. But what matters most isn’t the storm itself… it’s the foundation you’re standing on when it hits.

Just like your favorite tee that you reach for again and again because you know it’s not going to fade, a life rooted in Christ is built to last.

Storms Are Normal

Don’t confuse the presence of a storm with the absence of God. Trouble doesn’t mean He left you—it means you’re human. Storms test us, but they don’t define us.

Foundations Decide Futures

Hearing God’s Word is good. Living it out is what builds a foundation that can’t be shaken. Every prayer, every act of obedience, every step of faith—it all stacks like bricks on the Rock that holds you up.

Speaking God’s Word Over the Weather

When winds howl and waves rise, don’t just panic—declare His promises.

    •    “No weapon formed against me shall prosper” (Isaiah 54:17)

    •    “When you pass through the waters, I’ll be with you” (Isaiah 43:2)

    •    “All things work together for good” (Romans 8:28)

Scripture silences storms because storms can’t outlast the Word.

This Will Pass

Seasons shift, but God’s foundation is eternal. The rain may fall, the flood may rise, but if your life is anchored in Christ—you will stand.

A Prayer for You

Father, thank You for being my Rock. Teach me not just to hear Your Word, but to live it. Give me strength to stand in the storm and faith to declare Your promises until I see them come to pass. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Declarations for the Week

    •    I’m built on the Rock; I will not collapse.

    •    My storm is temporary; God’s Word is permanent.

    •    What the wind shakes, the Rock secures.

At Covenant Keeper, we believe faith isn’t just worn—it’s lived. Each promise we carry reminds us to stand strong, no matter the season. This week, let your actions prove your foundation—speak the Word, wear the promise, and walk unshaken.
