What Did You Find Wrong With Me?

What Did You Find Wrong With Me?

Jeremiah 2:5

“Let’s take a moment and look at what God has done for us. No amount of time we give Him could ever equal what He has already done for us. The fact that we are still here is proof all by itself.”

In Jeremiah 2:5, God asks a question that still speaks to us today:
“What did you find wrong with Me that made you walk away?”

God isn’t asking because He failed. He’s asking to expose the heart. It’s as if God is saying, “After all I’ve done for you—what changed about Me?” And the truth is, God didn’t change. We did.

Many of us didn’t walk away from God on purpose. We got busy. We got distracted. Life happened. And little by little, our time with God got pushed to the side. It didn’t happen overnight—it happened quietly.

Here’s the truth we can’t ignore:
Don’t let momentary feelings cost you your time with God.
Feelings change. Seasons change. But God never does.

When Israel walked away from God, their return was not instant. God warned them. He called them. He reached for them—but they didn’t turn back right away. Because of that, they faced life without His protection. God did not stop being faithful. They stopped being obedient.

Psalm 91 reminds us that protection is connected to dwelling—staying close to God, not drifting in and out.

Let’s not let it take consequences for us to return.
If you haven’t been consistent, it’s time to be.
If your time with God has been on and off, it’s time to settle it.
Start prioritizing God again—now.

Let’s stay close to God and stop treating Him like we can keep pushing Him off. He is our source. He is our protection. He is our peace.

If you’ve drifted—return.
His arms are still open.
